-
Judy and Pippa
Former classmates, Judy Roberts and Pippa Gale, at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. Philippa and I matriculated from Parktown Convent in Johannesburg in 1969.
-
Tina and Judy
Clementina van der Walt and Judy at Woodstock Market. Tina, as I knew her then, was another of my classmates at Parktown Convent in Johannesburg.
-
Buskers
I loved the multi-cultural aspect of South Africa. This was especially evident in Cape Town. These buskers at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront were every bit as good as Ladysmith Black Mambazo.
-
Food Court
I bought a delicious lamb stew from this kiosk at a food court at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. You probably know this but, in case you don't, halaal food is to Muslims what kosher food is to Jews.
-
Cape Dutch
One of the shopping complexes at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. Although it is not an exact replica of a Cape Dutch building, it is somewhat reminiscent of that style.
-
Building
Another shopping complex at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront.
-
Kockott Cousins
First cousins -- Jane Kockott, Judy Roberts and Barbara Joubert. During a lunch at Barb's home in Somerset West, near Cape Town.
